⏰ Time is running out to share your views on policing budget |
||
|
Good morning Resident,
Matthew Barber (Police and Crime Commissioner for Thames Valley) is asking residents to share their views on which priority areas they would like to see the policing element of council tax (the precept) used for in the 2026/27 budget.
🚨 Despite the Government announcing that they intend to abolish the PCC role, the transition to a new model is not due to take place before 2028. It currently remains the PCC’s statutory duty to set the policing budget and to engage residents on which priority areas they would like to see the policing element of council tax (the precept) used for in the 2026/27 budget.
🏘️ By sharing your views, the Police and Crime Commissioner can better understand the policing priorities of residents in keeping communities safe.
🗣️ We have already had over 4,000 residents share their views on next year's Thames Valley Police budget - make your voice count, and share your views by 12pm (noon) on Friday 2 January!
🕸️ Recommended browsers for completing the survey are: Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox and Microsoft Edge.
